Bitfinex is seeking an HR People Operations Specialist to join our remote-first, globally distributed team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the operational backbone of our People function. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating day-to-day HR processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Supporting seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences for team members.
  • Ensuring smooth collaboration and communication between HR, Finance, and leadership.
  • Contributing to a positive and structured experience for our global team members.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, is adept with systems and data, and is passionate about creating a seamless HR experience for a diverse, international workforce.

📌 Requirements

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for people operations. Essential qualifications include:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple processes.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, people & engagement, or project coordination.
  • Proficiency with HR systems, spreadsheets, and collaborative tools.
  • Good understanding of core HR processes (onboarding/offboarding, records, time-off, basic compliance).
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with HR and operational data.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, explaining HR processes clearly to non-HR colleagues.
  • A people-centred approach: approachable, empathetic, and a visible contact for HR support.
  • Proven ability to build trust and collaborate with managers and team members across functions and locations.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • High degree of discretion, reliability, and focus on security and privacy in handling personal data.
  • Curiosity about crypto, fintech, or technology-driven organizations is a significant plus.
