As the Design Lead for MetaMask, you will be instrumental in shaping user experiences that drive adoption and retention across our flagship products. You’ll tackle complex challenges, transform ambiguous problems into clear design solutions, and deliver designs that skillfully balance growth objectives with usability and trust. Your work will directly influence how millions of users engage with Web3 through MetaMask, from optimizing transaction flows to crafting new activation surfaces.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the end-to-end design of user experiences for MetaMask products, focusing on adoption and retention.
• Exploring problems from multiple angles, bringing clarity to ambiguous challenges, and delivering impactful designs.
• Optimizing critical user journeys such as the transaction experience and crafting effective activation surfaces.
• Elevating design quality across the team through thoughtful feedback and close collaboration with engineers.
• Mentoring other designers and actively contributing to shaping the design culture and process within a fast-moving team.

We are looking for a design leader with a strong passion for Web3 and a proven track record in digital product design. Ideal candidates will possess:

• 10-15 years of experience in digital product design, showcased through a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in significant design projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design decisions.
• A thoughtful and strategic approach to experimentation, knowing when to test, when to ship, and how to derive actionable insights.
• Comfort working with product analytics and collaborating effectively with data teams to inform design strategies.
• Proven ability to lead projects from conception (‘zero to one’) as well as iterate and improve on mature product surfaces.
• Strong capabilities in systems thinking, interaction design, and content-aware user experience.
• A collaborative spirit and extensive experience partnering across engineering, product, marketing, research, and content teams.
• Experience mentoring or leveling up other designers, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
• Familiarity with Figma, design systems, and remote design workflows is highly valued.
